SUS AI ("the app", "we", "us") lets you run a reverse face search to find where a photo of a person appears across the public web — to help with dating safety and identity verification. This policy explains exactly what data we handle and why. We built SUS AI to collect as little as possible: there is no account, no login, and we never ask for your name, email, or phone number.
1. Information we process
The photo you submit. When you start a search, the photo you choose is sent securely to our search provider (FaceCheck.id) to run the reverse face search. The photo is processed transiently to perform the search and is not used for any other purpose. We do not build a profile of you or the person in the photo.
An anonymous device identifier. The app generates a random, anonymous ID (a UUID) stored securely in your device Keychain. It is used only to track your search-credit ("coin") balance and your search history. It is not linked to your real-world identity and is not shared for advertising.
Search history. We store the results of your searches (match scores and the public web links found) so you can revisit them in the app. This is tied to the anonymous device ID above.
Purchase information. Purchases of credits and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive non-payment transaction details (which product was purchased) via our purchase providers in order to credit your account. We never see or store your credit-card or Apple ID payment details.
Basic technical/usage data. Standard, non-identifying analytics about how the app and paywalls perform (e.g., a screen was shown, a purchase succeeded), to improve the product.
2. Service providers we share data with
To run the app, limited data is processed by the following providers, each under their own privacy terms:
FaceCheck.id — performs the reverse face search. The submitted photo is sent to FaceCheck.id to return matching public web pages. See facecheck.id.
Apple — App Store distribution and in-app purchase processing.
RevenueCat — manages and validates in-app purchases/subscriptions.
Superwall — presents and optimizes the in-app offers/paywalls.
Railway — hosts our backend (the credit ledger and search proxy).
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Search results and other people
SUS AI returns links to publicly available web pages indexed by FaceCheck.id. We do not control, host, or store the content of those third-party pages. You agree to use SUS AI lawfully and respectfully — not to harass, stalk, or make decisions about a person's credit, employment, insurance, or housing. If you are a person who appears in search results and want your images removed, you can submit a request directly to the index provider via FaceCheck's removal process at facecheck.id.
4. Children
SUS AI is rated 17+ and is not intended for anyone under 17. The face-search index is trained not to index children's faces.
5. Data retention
Submitted photos are processed transiently for the search and are not retained by us as a standalone store. Your search history and credit balance remain associated with your anonymous device ID until you delete them in-app, request deletion, or the data is purged. Deleting the app removes your local data; because the anonymous ID is stored in the Keychain, your balance may persist if you reinstall on the same device.
6. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Your anonymous identifier is stored in the device Keychain. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we handle.
7. Your choices & rights
You can clear your search history in the app at any time.
You can request deletion of data associated with your device by contacting us.
Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR/CCPA), you may have rights to access or delete your data; contact us to exercise them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
